The Conservation Farm Family award program, sponsored by the NC Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (NCASWCD), acknowledges North Carolina farmers and farm families who excel in implementing effective, innovative, and economical conservation practices. This award also recognizes their active involvement in conservation education.

Locally, the Person Soil and Water Conservation District nominates farms from Person County. These local nominees then proceed to the Area 3 competition. Area 3 winners have the opportunity to advance to the Central Region competition, with the ultimate goal of becoming the State Conservation Farm Family winner.

If you would like to nominate a Conservation Farm Family for Person County, please contact our office.

Congratulations to the State Conservation Farm Family of the Year!
