Person County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified men and women to join us.  We are looking for individuals interested in helping others and wishing to impact their communities through active involvement.  Our agency is searching for individuals who set a high standard for themselves and can guide others by being a role model.

All applicants must meet the minimum requirements of the North Carolina Sheriff’s Education Training and Standards Commission.

Applicants must be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts which include holidays and weekends.

General Qualifications:

• Must be of good moral character
• Must be 20 years of age
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass an extensive background check
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and psychological exam
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Applicant cannot have any felony or serious misdemeanor convictions
