The Kirby offers 5 free live shows for kids over the summer months. This program represents a partnership between the Kirby and the PC Library, to successfully provide educational programming for kids during the summer gap in the academic year. Shows are chosen to promote messages of acceptance, self-confidence, female and minority empowerment, and positive social skill building. Many of our shows focus on anti-bullying and honoring a respect of diversity. Shows are designed to help youth foster academic and critical thinking skills outside of the classroom. Costs for the facility and staff are covered by Person County Recreation, Arts and Park Department. This program has received past support from Person County United Way.
