PUBLIC NOTICE OF MEETING 

The Person County Board of Elections will have a special called meeting on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.  The purpose of this meeting is to witness a demonstration via a video recording of the ES&S EVS 6.3.0.0 voting system in accordance with the requirements for adopting and acquiring a certified voting system.  The county currently uses the ES&S EVS 5.2.4.0 certified voting system.   

Board members will then witness a second demonstration via a video recording of the Hart InterCivic Verity certified voting system in accordance with the requirements for adopting and acquiring a certified voting system.  After witnessing both certified voting system demonstrations board members will make a preliminary recommendation to the county board of commissioners.

This meeting will take place at the Person County Board of Elections office, located at 331 S. Morgan Street, Roxboro, NC, and is open to the public.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF MEETING

The Person County Board of Elections will conduct a simulated election on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  County boards are required to conduct a simulated election for the purpose of testing equipment when adopting or acquiring a new voting system.  The simulated election will allow county board members and the public to witness the testing of the certified voting system recommended to the board of commissioners in accordance with Numbered Memo 2021-01 regarding the procedures for purchasing voting equipment. 

The simulated election will be conducted in the Person County Board of Elections office located at 331 S. Morgan Street, Roxboro, NC, and is open to the public.
