Person County Animal Services can accept the following items for donation:

• Cat Litter (clumping)
• Unopened Dog Food (canned and dry) - Preferably 4 Health or Purina ProPlan
• Unopened Cat Food (canned and Dry) - Preferably Science Diet, Iams or Purina 
• Purina Kitten Chow Dry Food
• New and lightly used Collars and Leashes (All sizes)
• New and lightly used Dog and Cat Toys
• Enrichment Toys - Kongs, SnuffleMats, BeneBones, etc.
• Dog and Cat Shampoos
• Cleaning Supplies: Blue Dawn Dish Detergent, Bleach, Trash Bags, Brushes, Foaming Hand Soap
• Cat and Dog Carriers and Kennels
• Dog Houses
• Towels, Washcloths and Small Blankets - new or gently used

Person County Animal Services CANNOT accept the following items:

• Large blankets or comforters
• Torn/heavily used towels or blankets
• Sheets, Pillows
• Open dog or cat food
• Expired food, medications or treats

Donations should be brought to the shelter during regular business hours. Please do not leave donations outside of our gate after hours. You can also leave donations at our PetSense locations for staff to pick up or have items shipped directly to the shelter via our online wishlists:
