Adoption Process

All adoptions are First Come First Serve!

You can view all our available pets on Petfinder and AdoptaPet, and most are also posted on our Facebook page. However, the best way to see them is to visit the shelter.

Adoption fees are $60

 This includes:

  • Age-appropriate vaccinations
  • Heartworm testing for dogs (age appropriate)
  • Deworming
  • Flea/tick preventive
  • Microchip

Spay or neuter, unless already completed, is the adopter’s responsibility and must be performed within 60 days of adoption

We have partnered with PetSense to showcase our adoptable cats! Since our partnership began in 2021, our cat adoptions have increased by over 40%.

PetSense Mebane - 1048 Mebane Oaks Rd., Mebane, NC.

*Note: All adoptions must be processed by shelter staff. Call the shelter at (336) 597-1741 if you are interested in adopting a cat from one of these locations.
