REMOVAL OF BURNING RESTRICTIONS FOR PERSON COUNTY

Effective at 8 a.m. today, open burning restrictions previously implemented by the N.C. Forest Service and Person County Fire Marshal’s Office have been rescinded. Due to recent precipitation, fire danger has decreased.

Even with the update, please take time to learn before you burn. Refer to the NC Forest Service website at https://www.ncagr.gov/divisions/nc-forest-service or the Person County Fire Marshal’s webpage at https://www.personcountync.gov/firemarshal.
