DESCRIPTION:<p>The Person County Board of Adjustment will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 7:00 PM, in the Room 215 of the Person County Office Building, located at 304 South Morgan Street, Roxboro, North Carolina, 27573. The following item(s) will be included on the agenda:</p><p>1. Appeal of Zoning Administrator's Interpretation - The applicant for a Special Use Permit to develop a site at 3722 Woodsdale Rd. has appealed the classification of their intended use as open storage indicating their belief that the use is "commercial storage" and thereby a use by right in Rural Conservation with no need for a Special Use Permit.</p><p>Hot Rock Haulers, LLC has applied to establish a temporary gypsum storage location at 3722 Woodsdale Rd. The use was classified as "open storage" by the Zoning Administrator and the applicant was required to file a Special Use Permit application. That application has not been scheduled for review due in part to this appeal request.</p><p>The outcome of this appeal will determine how the application will be reviewed. Testimony will be limited to the interpretation of use, not the merits of the project.</p>
