The Person County Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet on December 15, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. in the Person County Economic Development Conference Room, 303 South Morgan Street, Roxboro.

The Person County Board of Commissioners approved changing the format of the LEPC from a stand-alone committee to a BOC appointed committee. Since that time, we have been working behind the scenes to develop and define what the role and function of the LEPC should be in accordance with federal guidance. In addition, we had to re-write our bylaws for the conduct of this committee and these will need discussion/approval at the next meeting.
