PAYMENT OPTIONS: 

  1. Cash payments are accepted in office only.  These payments must be made at our office location at 13 Abbitt Street during normal business hours.

  2. Checks/Money Order are accepted in office, by mail, or by using our overnight drop box located on side of building between our office and register of deeds.  Please do not use the overnight box for cash payments.

  3. Automatic Bank Draft(NEW option).  We now offer AUTOMATIC BANK DRAFTS.  There is NO additional charge for this service.  To sign up for this program, stop by our office with a voided check and complete an automatic draft form.  Payments will be set up to be drafted monthly, on the 15th of each month.  We will discuss monthly payments options that will help get your taxes paid in full before the past due date.  You may download and fill out the Automatic Draft Form and bring it to our office once completed.

  4. Credit/Debit cards

    PAYMENTS WITH VISA/MASTERCARD/DISCOVER

    The Person County Tax Collector's Office has entered into an agreement with Voice Data Solutions and ccpayment services to provide taxpayers this automated payment service. Ccpayments Services will, however, charge a convenience fee for all credit card transactions. 

    Payments made using Visa, MasterCard Consumer Debit card are assessed a flat fee of $3.95 per transaction, regardless of the amount of tax paid.  All other MasterCard, Visa, and Discover card transaction incur a service charge of 2.65% of the amount of tax paid, with a minimum service charge of $2.00.  Credit/Debit cards may be used when paying in person, by phone (1-877-369-0027), or by using our website.  The service charge will be the same regardless of the method used.

  5. Online Bill Pay.
    Have you considered using your own Personal Online Banking?  Most banks offer the ability to schedule one time or recurring payments using BillPay or a similar service.  With the use of BillPay, the tax office will still receive a paper check from your bank.  Some payments may be delayed when using this service, so please allow extra time to avoid interest charges.  All late payments must be charged late fees based on date received by our office or date postmarked by United States Postal Service(USPS), as required by law.
