African American Library Services Oral History Project
Until 1969, Person County had segregated public library services. Person County Public Library is recording oral history interviews to help preserve this history.
During February, visit the library to view a display about the Person County Negro Public Library and the history of segregated library services. The library will add to the display throughout the month. If you have a memory or photo to share, visit the Circulation Desk or call (336) 330-2294 to add your story to the display.
On Saturday, February 23, 1:30 PM–3:30 PM, the library will host an Oral History Project Open House. Stop by to learn more about the oral history project, hear recordings of interviews, and chat with library staff and the community.
For more information about the project, contact Becky Schneider at email@example.com or (336) 330-2294.
